Removable dentures are a fast and affordable way to replace up to a full arch of missing teeth. While they can be an effective option, advances in dentistry have allowed us to secure dentures with dental implants for a more stable restoration.
Explore our guide to learn how you can benefit from implant-supported dentures.
If you’re interested in implant-supported dentures, we feature two treatment options at our practice:
Implant-supported dentures offer a range of unique benefits that traditional dentures can’t match. Some of these include:
Your treatment begins with Dr. Troyan placing two to six dental implants in your jaw. After your surgery, you’ll need to allow three to six months for your implants to fuse with your jawbone. This process is called osseointegration and it’s what allows your denture to stay securely in place.
While you wait for your final restoration, we can provide a temporary denture so you don’t have to live with gaps in your smile. After your jaw is fully healed, you can return to our office and Dr. Troyan will attach your permanent denture.
If you’re missing a full arch of teeth, implant-retained dentures are likely the right treatment for you. If you suffer from jawbone deterioration or gum disease, Dr. Troyan can prepare you for implant placement with a supplemental procedure.
If you want to discuss your candidacy for implant-retained dentures or simply learn more about the treatment, call our office at 847-453-3099 and schedule a consultation with Dr. Troyan. With our help, you can restore health and beauty to your smile.
