At Royal Dental Care, we make the entire dental implant process as convenient and stress-free as possible. From your first consultation with Dr. Troyan to your restoration placement, we guide you through the entire process and make every step the best it can be.
To start the dental implant journey, you’ll visit our Schaumburg practice for a consultation with Dr. Troyan. During this visit, you’ll have the opportunity speak with Dr. Troyan and the team about any concerns or questions you may have about the dental implant process. You’ll receive a full examination of your teeth, gums, and jawbone. Together with Dr. Troyan, you’ll decide which dental implant solution will best fit your needs.
With the information gathered during your initial consultation, Dr. Troyan will develop your treatment plan. The treatment process may include the following steps, depending on your personalized plan:
At Royal Dental Care, we’re dedicated to helping you remain calm and comfortable throughout your procedures. To that aim, Dr. Troyan offers a variety of sedation options–from nitrous oxide to IV sedation–to help you manage your anxiety and remain relaxed during your visits.
Sedation is especially beneficial for anyone undergoing a longer procedure like dental implant placement. Let us know during your dental implant consultation if you’re interested in sedation dentistry.
First, a small titanium fixture is attached directly into the jawbone. Next, a middle piece called an abutment is attached and the doctor begins carefully crafting your replacement tooth. And finally, the crown (or artificial tooth) is placed on the abutment.
The result is a tight-fitting, stable, and natural-looking replacement tooth that allows you to speak and eat with confidence.
Good bone density in the jaw area is necessary to support a dental implant.
If you don’t have solid bone density in the appropriate areas, a supplemental procedure like bone grafting may be required.
During this relatively simple procedure, bone tissue is added to the jaw to create the proper density and volume required for a dental implant.
Your first step is to schedule a consultation with one of our helpful staff members.
A consultation will allow one of our qualified and experienced doctors to examine your mouth and help them determine if dental implants are a good option for you.
Placing a dental implant can range from one to about three hours, depending on how many are being placed.
After the implant is placed, you’ll have a follow-up appointment several months later to allow the implant to properly heal and fuse with the jawbone.
Then, you’ll receive your final restoration at this visit.
If you want to restore your self-confidence along with your smile, dental implants could be the right tooth replacement option for you. We’re here to answer any questions that our Schaumburg or Norridge, IL patients may have about dental implants. We offer great financing options, too.
