Dr. Troyan’s aspirations for a dental career began while he was helping his father remodel a dental laboratory. To pursue that dream, he moved from his native Poland to live with his aunt in Chicago to complete his undergraduate studies in Chemistry. After admission to Southern Illinois University for dental school, he became passionate about helping patients to control their pain, oral surgery, and endodontics (root canal treatments). Before and after graduating, he worked hard and received numerous awards for his clinical achievements.
After finishing dental school, Dr. Troyan continued to pursue his passion in the surgical field. He then went on to finish a 2-year implant program at Misch International Implant Institute, as well as an Advanced Bone Grafting Certificate at Pikos Implant Institute. Both of these institutions are internationally recognized as the top institutes in the field of dental implants.
In addition to his other pursuits, he completed an intravenous sedation certificate at Medical College of Georgia. This program was intended to help him assist severely anxious patients to be more comfortable while he treats their dental needs.
Next, Dr. Troyan joined an elite group of clinicians by obtaining a fellowship at the International College of Implantology. He is a current member of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, as well as the American Dental Association and ISDS. He is also a Clinical Director for Hiossen AIC, which provides implant training to practicing dentists.
When he isn’t in the office, Dr. Troyan loves playing with his daughter and shares his wife’s passion for travel. He enjoys skiing, and recently competed in a Spartan Race. He enjoys riding motorcycles, as well as training for the next Spartan Race event.
Dr. Kucharska spent her undergraduate years at the University of Illinois where she developed a passion for dentistry. While working on her degree in Mathematics, she worked as a dental assistant and found her true calling. After receiving a Bachelors degree in Mathematics, she decided to move in the direction of dentistry and was quickly accepted to Southern Illinois University.
According to the staff, she was the first Mathematician to enter dental school, as well as the student with the highest PAT scores of all enrollees. Throughout the curriculum, she finished several complete mouth restorations for patients whose mouths were ravaged by dental disease. As a result, she developed a practiced eye for superior dental aesthetics. She was actually awarded a Restorative Dentistry award for these skills.
Following graduation, Dr. Kucharska continued to pursue her passion as she completed a 2-year orthodontic program at Progressive Ortho Seminars, followed by numerous certifications like Six Month Smiles, FastBraces, Clear Aligners, and of course, Invisalign. In addition, she is a Lumineers and Durathin certified provider. She has been recognized by the Consumer Research Council of America and received the prestigious “Americas Top Dentists” Award for six consecutive years since 2008
Dr. Kucharska is a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, interior decorating, and traveling to warm climates with her husband and daughter.

While working as a dental assistant, she quickly came to realize that dentistry was her true calling. When she realized this, she immediately went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at UIC College of Dentistry.
Upon graduation from UIC, Dr. Szylkowska received multiple awards to reward her superior operative dental work and outstanding proficiency in dental studies. In addition, Dr. Szylkowska was presented with one of the highest honors attainable within the dental profession as she was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a National Honor Dental Society. Dr. Szylkowska is also active in research and in 2014 she published her manuscript in the Journal of Prosthodontics.
